Data controller
Moussa Law Firm for Legal, Financial and International Transactions Consultancy, as operator of The Pro Lawyers, is responsible for processing personal data under Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and the laws that apply in the user’s country.
What we collect
Account data: name, phone, email and country of residence. Lawyer data: licensing details and document, professional photo, specialties, languages, services, fees and office location. Company data: name, sector and commercial registration if provided. Content of requests, messages, projects, offers and reviews. Technical data: IP address and a log of admin actions.
Location
A client’s location is collected only if they choose to set it in an urgent request. Only the lawyer they choose sees the exact location; other lawyers see the distance only. A lawyer’s location is shown publicly only approximately (about one kilometre), and their live location is kept for twelve hours only.
Purposes
Verifying lawyers, publishing profiles, delivering requests, messages and notifications, running the Pro plan, preventing fraud and abuse, handling complaints, and meeting legal obligations.
Who sees what
Licensing documents and numbers and payment receipts: the responsible admin team only. Phone and email: the other party after the lawyer accepts a request. Request details and messages: the client and that lawyer, and the team only when needed to resolve a complaint. Admin staff work under limited permissions and every action they take is logged.
Sharing and transfers outside Egypt
We do not sell data or share it for marketing. Data is shared only with hosting and email providers bound by confidentiality, or when a competent authority lawfully requires it. Data may be stored on the hosting provider’s servers outside Egypt, with appropriate safeguards.
Retention
Data is kept while the account is active. On a deletion request, account data is deleted unless the law requires longer retention or it is needed for an ongoing dispute.
Your rights
You may access, correct or delete your data and object to its processing. Send requests to the email below from the email or phone registered on your account; they are answered within the legal time limits.
Cookies
Only essential cookies are used, for sign-in, language and result view. No advertising cookies or third-party trackers are used.
Security
Passwords are stored hashed, documents are kept in non-public storage, and location metadata is removed from uploaded images. Avoid sending highly confidential documents before agreeing with a lawyer.
Minors
The platform is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
Any change is published here with the update date, and account holders are notified by email of material changes.
